Just a Little Coffee Talk

 

 

Next week-end, April 28th and 29th 2012, is National Open House week-end 2012 and I invite you to get out and tour your favorite neighborhood.  I will be holding open house and look forward to the chance that some of you will drop by while you are in the neighborhood.  While I have selected the homes that I plan to hold open I will announce them just prior to the event as it is very possible that those selected will already be under contract by that time.

So, today I would like to point out a few places you may want to check out if you are in the Tri-City area of Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista.  Of course, on Saturday a great place to browse and snack is the Vista’s Farmer’s Market.  I love to stop by and visit Bryan at the booth for Leroy’s Sweet Potato Shack and enjoy a slice of sweet potato cake or pie.  He has other selections but I never seem to get past my favorites.  If you stop by, please tell Bryan I said hello.

While in Vista drop in at  the Yellow Deli.  The ambiance alone is worth the trip.  This two-story building feels like a hobbit house, with beautiful brick work, a fireplace, a peaceful outside terrace and a juice bar.  Be forewarned though that no one working here is in a hurry so you can’t be either.  They feature organic fare, much from their own farm, Morning Star Ranch Organic Avocado Ranch, Valley Center. The menu is sandwiches, soups and salads as well as creations from the juice bar and desserts. They are open 24/5 closing at noon on Fri and reopening at noon on Sun. Prices are quite reasonable.  Located at 315 East Broadway, Vista, CA.
